Not every caption box is a complete sentence.
Automatic captions are often divided by display timing rather than by complete spoken thoughts. Mono reads nearby lines and tries to reconstruct a more readable unit before the final translation is shown. That helps reduce the feeling of translating disconnected fragments one by one.

Keep the original nearby when you want to understand more deeply.
The translation does not have to hide the source. Keep the original subtitle beside the translation, then use Focus to return to the real video and hear how a phrase was actually spoken.

A video in Japanese, Spanish or Korean can still become something you understand.
Mono supports 27 languages in its subtitle translation experience. Real-world quality still depends on the source captions, language pair and Gemini model you choose.

You connect the translation engine yourself.
Mono uses the Gemini API key you provide. Mono Pro does not sell translation quota; the subscription pays for the subtitle workflow, interface, account, Focus and Workspace. Gemini limits and any charges are managed separately by Google.
